FAQs

Is it simple enough for non-medical person like me to learn and perform CPR?

Yes, it is very simple to learn and perform bystander CPR. We have included slides and videos in this website to make it easier for anyone to learn and perform this skill. Studies show that children as young as 9 are able to perform CPR.

Can I hurt someone with performing CPR?

The person is clinically dead, you can’t make them any worse.  If you do nothing they will be legally dead in five minutes. They are insensate, they do not feel any pain or discomfort during the resuscitation attempt. Broken ribs are a known side effect of CPR and occur about 30% of the time.
